“Fiery instinct, futuristic outlook, indomitable will and a burning passion was all that S K Peter had when he started as a procurement manager in a interior contracting company , way back in 1994. It was his overarching ambition, inexhaustible energy and never-say-die spirit that led him through all the obstacles to start a general contracting and fitouts company. As a first generation entrepreneur he started small, but with an aggressive pace and impeccable quality of deliverables. Much to the astonishment of clients he delivered the first few ATM’s before schedule and set new standards on quality. With slew of new projects in hand, he enabled a small 10 member team to leap beyond and follow his approach of burning passion towards speed in execution and quality.
He guided this company to rise as an epitome of perfection, aesthetic skill, workmanship and punctuality. He strategically lined up sub contractors and labor force by ensuring 100% payments in advance. Creating and STABILISING the core of an ORGANISATION requires more than just hard work. His distinctive design of the core values of the ORGANISATION manifested to improve process beyond just STABILISATION that fascinated the clients. He braced this core and CHARACTERISED ocean that defined the company in the market. Three such qualities were speed, transparency and values. His strength in delivering projects on time with superior quality won projects of larger magnitude and Ocean paced forward with great success. From a turnover of few lakhs in 1996 to Rs. 115 crores in 2012 to Rs 500 crores in 2018 took constant up-gradation of our systems, process and success in all ventures. Ocean has gradually grown to more than 400 staff and 3000 + labour strength in the past two decades.
He turned all business opportunities and transformed the company from ATM interiors to large banks, IT spaces and huge factories and buildings. He noticed the potential of giving a complete solution as a turnkey general contracting company which included factory buildings ( PEB factory sheds, Heavy duty civil construction like machinery foundations , UG sumps, STP, ETP, complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing packages for the same ). He also built great alliances with architects and moved on from turnkey general contracting company to design, build and handing over model to clients. This model of business worked hand in hand with technology advancements and he ensured a collective growth as an ORGANISATION. Turnover had a steady growth as he was bringing in more verticals. Over the past decade he cemented ocean’s presence in the field of civil construction, infrastructure development and completion of time based factories and buildings Today we are competitors to all the leading general contracting companies in India
